Longarm Quilting Pricing:
Prices are based on the size of your quilt and complexity of the pattern.
We charge 2.5 to 3 cents per square inch. To figure the square inch of your quilt top, measure the width and the length and multiple them together. This will give you the total square inches of your quilt. Then multiply the total square inches by the type of quilting you request. Example: A quilt which measures 60 X 72 = 4320 square inches X .025 (2.5 cents per square inch) = $105.
We primarily offer Edge to Edge - a simple design with good coverage. You can refer to our Ordering page, under quilting patterns, for some examples.
There is a minimum charge of $30 for any longarm quilting project.
NOTE: Above prices do not include batting. You may provide your own batting, it needs to be at least 2-4 inches larger than your quilt top. Warm and White cotton or Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 may be purchased from us.
Quilt top preparation:
To assure a quality finished product and minimize your cost, please follow these basic guidelines:
Your top, backing and batting should be in three separate pieces, NOT basted.
All seams should be pressed flat (either open or to one side) and threads should be clipped, or they may show the finished quilt.
Measure and press backing fabric — it should measure at least 4-6 inches larger and wider than your top.
Pressing quilt top or backing – $10.00 (We typically do not iron the backing unless it is needed.)
Piecing backing fabric - $20.00 per hour. This typically takes less than an hour.
Backing
Most of our customers provide the backing, however if you do not have backing available we can provide one to compliment your quilt top. Cost dependent on your fabric choice.
Binding - 3 options
1. You can provide the binding fabric and we will make the binding and machine sew it on the front with mitered corners, You can then hand stitch it to the back. The cost: 15 cents per linear inch. IF YOUR WANT US TO hand stitch it to the back, the charge is $20/hour.
2. You can provide the binding fabric and we will make the binding, machine sew it on the front with mitered corners and machine stitch it in the “ditch” on the front. The cost: 20 cents per linear inch.
Quilt Trimming –
If we are not binding your quilt, it can be trimmed for a $10 fee. Let us know how you like it trimmed – at the edge, or ¼” beyond the edge.
